There are thousands of powder coat colors and textures currently available. Some of which are classed as 'Stock' or
'Standard' colors, available in the European RAL color format. These colors are generally a smooth, high gloss, solid
color finish, in a TGIC chemistry formulated for durability and weatherability, (UV stable). But can also be available in
different gloss levels and texture grades.
In addition to the available standard base colors are; well, the list is almost endless. Each vendor provides a large
assortment of their standard production colors, available in a wide variety of textures, and chemistries, which can be
formulated to be especially resistant to chemical environments, or to provide extreme weather or salt water resistance.
These vendors also provide single-coat, multi-color powders, that during the cure process will divide into a multi-color
finish. Generally these types of powder coatings have a hammer-tone, or some similar finish to them. Most suppliers
will offer custom mixes to meet certain color requirements or specifications. The cost of custom mixes varies wildly
and can require a minimum purchase quantity.
And then there are certain vendors that provide small
quantity, specialty blends. These formulations can
include pearlescents, translucents and chameleons,
like the one shown here.
